Cupid played a major part in the origins of Bondi Bathers. While on
vacation from Australia in Fiji, Bondi Bathers' founder Margo Hotston
met her husband, Jeff, a native New Yorker. She swiftly followed her
heart to the States in 1991. The rest, as they say, is history...except,
that is, the runaway success of Margo's company, Bondi Bathers.
The swimwear company was set up by Margo and Jeff in 1993 in New York
following her experience as Vice President of one of Australia's most
loved cutting-edge swimwear companies. With native Australians owning
more bathing suits than frocks, Margo was well- qualified to see an
opening in the swimwear market in America for sophisticated, clean-line
bathers.
