About Ellen Ferguson

Ellen Ferguson, EQ Inc. President, has used her extensive background as an elite-level competitive swimmer to create a unique swimwear company that understands the demands of competitive athletes while delivering fun and comfortable fashions.

Ellen began swimming at the age of six in Oregon, and swam under the legendary Mark Schubert at Mission Viejo, CA. At UCLA, Ellen became an All-American and school record holder. Devoted to sport in and out of the pool, Ellen also served on numerous athletic committees at UCLA including the NCAA Long Range Planning Committee, and was the president of the Athletes Advisory Council.

Ellen is active in Masters swimming today, where she holds numerous regional and national championship titles. She’s competed in regional, national and international competition and has ranked in the top five in her age group.

Professionally, Ellen has more than 10 years in sales and marketing and has built and managed multimillion dollar accounts with leading fashion companies like NIKE, the Rockport Company and Airwalk.

Ellen lives with her husband and their three children in Portland, Oregon.
