Once
thought of as too revealing, bikinis are the most popular swimsuits
for women on the beach or at the pool these days. Bikinis are the swimsuit
to sport. Even women playing professional beach volleyball generally
choose to wear a two-piece swimming suit rather than a one-piece. Bikinis
show off your body in a way that no other suit can.
In 2007, you are sure to see great bikini trends -- bold prints and
even sequins on bikinis. You'll see more tankinis and monokinis--a cross
between a bikini and one-piece. Bikinis no longer show only graphics
of Hawaiian flowers– you will be able to find bikinis with pictures
of soda cans or graphics of people on them. Expect to see splashy graphics
of stars or cute printed words or phrases. People will be staring at
your suit and your body in these sensational new designs.
Also a popular bikini trend for 2007 are mismatched bikini tops and
bikini bottoms. Just because you have a pair of red bikini bottoms,
it does not mean that you need to wear a red bikini top – why
not be wild and pair those bikini bottoms with a hot pink bikini top?
You can also match a plain bikini top with bikini bottoms with a print
and vice versa. You can mix and match all of the bikini pieces that
you have at home and come up with even better bikinis.
Also, some bikinis this season will look a bit more like jewelry –
they will sparkle, they will have additions that dangle. Sequins and
beads and fringe are all the rage. Why have just a plain bikini when
you can have one that really stands out?
Bikinis are also going to be crossing over from the beach and into
the clubs this season. Yes, clubwear is really big! There are bikini
tops with a little bodice on them. They can be worn at the beach and
at the clubs at night. Don't overlook cover-ups. They allow you to wear
your bikini all day when you accessorize with the right cover-ups off
the beach.
The most on-going and popular bikini trend this summer (and last summer,
and the summer before that, etc.) is the string bikini. Who does not
love a little more string and a little more skin when it comes to bikinis?
