Flip flops really are not just flip flops nowadays. They come in so many different styles that if will take you just as long to look at the latest selections of flip flops as it would take you to check out the selections of work shoes, tennis shoes or sports shoes.

My Favorite kinds of flip flops are the soft ones—but let me narrow that down.

You’ve got your slipper-style flip flops with the fuzzy trim. These are not only fun to wear, but they are sexy, too. Get some slipper flip flops to match your favorite lingerie. Or just wear them to spend time around the house.

Or, there are the flip flops made with thick layers of a soft rubber material, I had seen such flip flops before, but never so thick and soft as they are this season. I bought a bright pink pair of these flip flops, thinking I would only use them at the pool, and to my surprise, despite being the type of person who likes to go barefoot around the house, I love to wear them inside.

A few of my guy friends also got pairs of these soft, rubbery flip flops and love them just as much. My friend Joe will slide his on to go for a walk and say “ahhhh” every time. Joe has a cat that decided she loved his new flip flops, too. When she chewed them all around the sides—he still wore them for about a week and then he got another pair. These ones he keeps on the top shelf of his closet so she will not abuse hi flip flops again.

The most versatile styles of flip flops I have seen, meaning the ones you can wear to work or to a meeting or an interview etc. Are the new fashions in womens flip flops. These flip flops come in all different styles, shapes, sizes, colors—you name it.

There are womens flip flops with the strip across the top like normal flip flops, but rather than having a wedge between your big toe and the rest of your toes—there is a loop around the toe. I find this very sexy, these are probably my favorite kinds of business casual flip flops. Such styles of flip flops can come with high heels or they can come flat soled. They come in all colors, reds and greens and yellows and pinks to match you favorite warm weather outfits. Or in more versatile colors such as blacks, browns and grays.

Some flip flops come without that wedge between the toes at all, but with an adjustable strap across the foot just beneath the toes. These are also very sexy and will work for those hot summer days at the office—or, (for those of us who live in four season parts of the country) as soon as spring starts to peer out from beneath the winter season and you can pull out your summer shoeboxes. These flip flops come, like the ones with the toe loops, in short heels, high heels, or flat soles.

Another great style of flip flops come with two or three straps that fall across the top of the foot. They can be very elegant and even suitable for that elegant office party or an expensive dinner at a five-star restaurant etc. These come mostly with super high heels—but you can find them in lower, say two-inch heels as well.
