It’s
time again for a bikini wax. You can do it at home as you’ve done
in the past or you can try a salon, which should you choose?
To perform a bikini wax, a either you or a technician, if you’re
having one done professionally, applies warm wax to a woman's pubic
area, places cloth strips atop the wax, and then removes them when the
wax hardens by pulling the material off the skin. Often a small thatch
of hair is left above the vagina, sometimes in the shape of a heart
or triangle.
The benefit of doing a bikini wax at home is privacy. You can do it
whenever you want to without waiting for an appointment, you can be
in your own bedroom or bathroom, and when you yell, no one will hear
you!
What about the drawbacks?
The hair needs to be pulled at a 40-degree angle and the cloth strips
need to be yanked quickly, both hard feats to accomplish on your own.
So you may not get as clean of a wax as you would with a professional.
One of the benefits of a salon bikini wax is that someone else is doing
the pain causing action and since they don’t feel it it’s
easier to do! Also a professional can get at the angles that are hard
to reach on your own.
A trained professional will be able to see the area better than you
can and will be able to give you a cleaner, smoother wax.
