Men's Sandals

There are men’s sandals made in all different styles.

The most plain men’s sandals, you know, the classic style that have been around forever, are the Roman-style sandals with straps the kind you would wear to the pool or the beach. But for the most part these men’s sandals are not the current trend. Despite the fact that their design is so versatile, that they can be worn for hanging around the house or on any average summer day. And are certainly not as delicate as men’s flip flops—on the most basic men’s sandals the soles will wear down more quickly with too much outdoor use. Men’s sandals often have at least a little traction to them. However, these, the simplest kinds of men’s sandals have thinner soles are cheaper because they are fairly cheaply made.

For the more outdoorsy types, for example, those men who like to hike, take long walks or even run while wearing their men’s sandals, there are men’s sandals like Dr Martens brand are made of mostly leather material and with thicker soles with stronger traction underneath. These men’s sandals are also made with more straps that fit across the top of the foot—often three or four adjustable straps that are placed close together, mostly in leather, as I mentioned before. Such men’s sandals are perfect for a short hike, a walk anywhere—or just during those summer hours when you are hanging out with your friends, these men’s sandals trendy and very popular. They are great for sitting around and letting your feet breathe for the day. They are made in different styles, some of them have three adjustable straps and some have four, and of course, all of them have a thick adjustable leather strap around the heel.

Birkenstocks are another very popular brand of men’s sandals. They come in waterproof styles that are available in many colors for that perfect men’s sandal to wear out to the beach. These styles are sold with less straps and more rubbery, thus waterproof, material. Some have one, thick wedge-like adjustable strap and others have two adjustable straps that run across the top of the foot. Most often the Birkenstock men’s sandals I have seen are brown or black. But all the different styles offer different color selections, which may be harder to find in the store than on the Internet. Birkenstocks also have what they call “slip on” men’s sandals, also in a variety of colors, with usually with three thick leather adjustable straps for a great fit. Then there are the Birkenstock men’s sandals with only two—extra thick adjustable straps, some come with straps for the heels and some do not.

I think that Dr Martens and Birkenstocks are among the very best men’s sandals available. Almost all of these styles have thicker soles than your average men’s sandal, and are more versatile as to what types of things you can do in them. Plus, as I have mentioned, they are among the leading brands in men’s sandals fashions. Not to mention that they are so long lasting, that they are not really too costly. You would replace generic brand sandals like these three times over before you would need to replace a pair of Birkenstocks or Dr Martens.
