1) The general rule in swimwear is to buy a size that is one size up from your dress size. Some people may even need to go two sizes but it is better to find a manufacturer that tends to make a longer torso if you need it.

2) Try on your swimwear with one of our disposable panties for your protection and to get a better idea of what the leg will look like on you.

3) If you are concerned that the fit is too snug, put your finger under the shoulder strap and lift - there should be about a 1" space.

4) High neck suits will tend to elongate your torso if you are short and give a good bust support if you need it. It also protects the delicate area on your chest from the sun. It is a flattering style if you have never tried it.

5) If your problem area is your bottom, then choose something that has color or some design - a focal point on the top to bring the eye up-not down.

6) Our special secret at Tahiti Street to make all of our suits look better (but not necessary for full busts) is our bust pads. Made of thin foam pad it can be inserted into the bust of your swimsuit by pinning or stitching. It will give you a little extra shaping and make all the difference in balancing out your figure. They sell for $14.00 per pair.

7) Some suits have specific "tummy control" but other suits that have textured fabric tend to hold you in and hide any small "lumps and bumps".

8) Most of our suits have matching slip on skirts to cover for that stroll down the beach or sitting at lunch by the pool. They are flattering and make a very nice outfit. In addition we have pareos and sarongs which can be wrapped around for coverage.

9) Every vacation needs a little cover-up sundress to walk through the lobby or go shopping in and we can suggest many "fun" pieces.

10) The biggest thing is not to take it all seriously. If you need a swimsuit then it means that you are going to relax and have fun and that is the important thing. we want you to look your best so your vacation will be a memorable one.
